DINNERWARE | The flatware/silverware pattern we've chosen is Henckels's Opus; it comes in sets of eight place settings. We've seen it at Bed Bath & Beyond. We'd like 2 sets of 8 place settings. If you can find it in boxes of four, we really only need 12 place settings, but we haven't been able to find it other than in boxes of eight. View Website

COOKWARE | I (Stephanie) want the Calphalon tri-ply steel Stainless Steel pot and pan set. (NOT the Kitchen Essentials set from Target.) Yes, I know it's ridiculously expensive, but we both like the handles, and we figure it will last the rest of our lives. I probably won't get sick of it, either. And yes, contrary to popular notion, I am capable of cooking, and I even enjoy it. :) I thought about listing them separately, but it's several hundred dollars more that way. View Website

KITCHENWARE | I (Stephanie) HATE the sound of a fork on metal, so we'd like a set of glass/ceramic/stoneware mixing bowls. I'm quite fond of the set linked below from Target; anything similar, and in white or clear (or perhaps clear green, but my mother has that set) would be great. 1 set of 3 or 4, or 3-4 individual bowls (depending on the set). COOKWARE | We'd like an enameled cast-iron soup pot/dish/dutch oven/french oven, preferably in a dark green so it doesn't clash with the dishes too terribly. Black would be OK, too, as long as it's enameled black, rather than naked cast iron. The 4.5 or 5-qt size would be sufficient. Yes, we know they're really heavy. We'll survive it. The black ones are available at Bed Bath & Beyond; Kitchen-Aid seems to have a green set, but one might inspect it in person, first. (The green one is in the link. Hi, Mom.) View Website

KITCHENWARE | We'd like a bamboo cutting board, as bamboo is a sustainable resource, and it just looks cool. Bed Bath & Beyond has a bunch of them for about $20; Costco also has a set of two for about $20. Nothing excessively large, or oddly-shaped. We'll trust you on this one. View Website

KITCHENWARE | We would like nothing so much as a set of dish towels (2-4) in green (light or dark, doesn't matter) that actually sop up water. The last couple sets we bought didn't so much (one Martha Stewart set and one IKEA set), and other than buying bath towels, we're at a bit of a loss. If anyone has the Wisdom of the Ages to impart to us on the Best Kitchen Towels Ever, we'd be very appreciative. The BBB set in the link is a suggestion, just because it's organic cotton. BED & BATH | We'd like a set of plain ol' cotton bed linens. No jersey-knit sheets, please; the cats rip them up very quickly. BED & BATH | We'd like a duvet (which IKEA inexplicably calls 'quilts'); they have a perfectly nice one for $50, in synthetic (the cats claw at down-filled things). Yes, we want the one rated for nearly as much warmth as possible. We'd rather not use 3 separate comforters all winter. We're sure Target has one, too, but we like the IKEA one better. COOKWARE | We would like a pancake griddle to supplement our pot-and-pan set. We'd like to be very specific on this one; yes, it's expensive, but infused-anodized griddles are NOT coated in Teflon. APPLIANCES | We already have a Kitchen-Aid tilt-head stand mixer, but we'd like a little 3-speed hand mixer for making mashed potatoes and small quantities of things. They're cheapest at Target, surprise surprise. If for some reason you have bad memories of this hand-mixer and are convinced we need the 5-speed version, we'd still like it in white, and it's available at Bed, Bath & Beyond. View Website

BED & BATH | We'd like a set of bath towels -- four bath towels, two hand towels, two washcloths, and perhaps even a bathmat, although it's not required. Our current bathroom is light blue; we figure a light or medium blue will match whatever bathroom we'll have in the future. The color 'Rain' in the link is a good suggestion; we like big, fluffy towels. View Website

BED & BATH | We'd like another set of flannel sheets. We have a queen-sized bed and mostly green sheets and comforters at the moment, but we'd be happy with any color in the blue-green-gray-maroon range. We already have the inexpensive plain green flannel sheets from Target; this is perhaps a poor time of year to find flannel sheets, but anything you can find would be nice.

GLASSWARE | We'd like a glass pitcher. There are two in this profile available at Target, but they both seem to break quickly. The one at the link, from Bed Bath & Beyond, seems to be better quality, but if you know a better brand, but with the same basic shape, we'd be happy with that. View Website

KITCHENWARE | I (Stephanie) would like a pie carrier. I don't know anything about them, and I know that pretty much everyone female and related to me knows more about them than I do, so I leave it up to your collective wisdom to recommend and/or find the right pie/cheesecake carrier for me. KITCHENWARE | We'd be thrilled to have about three of these travertine trivets. Plain wooden trivets would be fine, but the travertine ones are just so much prettier. View Website

BARWARE | We need a wine key. You can probably get one anywhere. The Target one is a suggestion. We're not particularly interested in a 'normal' corkscrew; a key is just fine. View Website

KITCHENWARE | Stephanie would love this breadmaker, but Ben keeps reminding her that they have nowhere to put it at the moment. So, if you choose to purchase this breadmaker for us, realize that it might be stored in a box for the next six months to several years, until they have somewhere to put it and use it. (Hence the very low priority.) It's also available much cheaper at an outlet store on eBay (like $80 instead of $130). View Website

KITCHENWARE | I (Stephanie) have needed a rolling pin for a very long time. I've been rolling out pie crusts with a vase (at my parents' house) or an angled glass (let me tell you how poorly <i>that</i> works!). No Teflon; no silicone; just a wooden rolling pin like this one. View Website

DINNERWARE | Since the flatware set (nor the extra set) doesn't come with a cake set (or a fancy lasagna/brownie server), we'd like this set. This is the cake/pie server (pointed). View Website

Some places even have a deal if you buy over $150 in Henckels knives -- you get something free, like another knife. Feel free to check around. We need 2 sets. View Website
